How to find your academic advisor:

New Students:

If you are attending a summer registration event (SOAR), you will meet with an advisor at that time. Otherwise, please contact Admissions at (406) 265-3704 or admission@msun.edu.

Current Students:

You can find your advisor in NorthNav! 

NorthNav Desktop 

  • Log in to NorthNav.
  • Look at the Student Home dashboard.
  • Find the Your Success Team box on the right side or click Resources on the left menu, then select the People tab.  

Steps on the Mobile App 

  • Open the Navigate Student app on your phone.
  • Tap on Resources.
  • Select the People tab to view your advisor. 

Changing your advisor

Your advisor is assigned to you when you are admitted to MSU Northern. If you would like to change your advisor, you can do this on the change of major form.
