Develop the knowledge and skills you need to make positive change with a Community Psychology degree from Montana State University-Northern. If you are interested in how communities affect people and how people impact their communities, you will want to consider this online degree. With an emphasis on broader social contexts such as education, housing, health care and more, you will focus on the principles of diversity and human rights empowerment necessary to deliver expanded psychological services to underserved social groups. The curriculum will assist you to develop strategic planning, project management, and program evaluation skills, as well as learn about nonprofit organizations and public administration, and even hone your public relations and grant writing abilities. You will not only learn to apply critical psychological frameworks and approaches to understand the causes of social issues, but also how to prevent, manage, or resolve them.
