Career Outlook for Biology
With advances in medical practice and technology, biology careers are expected to grow considerably in the next 10-20 years. The Bureau of Labor Statistics separates biology occupations into a number of specific careers, but the majority are expected to grow at average or above-average rates, with a few particular disciplines booming. Those include: epidemiology, medical science, biochemistry, and biophysics. Graduates of MSU-Northern's biology program are employed in private, public, federal, and industrial sectors. A biology degree also paves the way for students wishing to pursue graduate work or advanced study in medical or pharmacy school.
